As qualified and experienced chartered Clinical Psychologists, we are trained to offer a variety of therapeutic approaches according to what best suits the person we are seeing. This could include adapted versions or elements of:
- Brief Solution Focussed Therapy
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
- Narrative Therapy
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
- Cognitive Analytic Therapy
We both have experience of working with people with and without autism and Asperger’s Syndrome, and tailoring these approaches to best suit the person’s way of approaching and understanding life and the world. Obviously, everyone is different, and so any adaptation is individualised.
Some people may find that they benefit enough from one session not to need or want any more, whilst others may find they need several sessions. This would be negotiated between therapist and client at the time. Sessions generally take place face to face in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, in Redruth, Cornwall or online via Skype or Google Hangouts.
